Information we collect

How we use it, and on what basis

We do not sell personal information, do not share it for advertising, do not build profiles, and do not use automated decision-making. Analytics data stays on our own server and is not sent to any third party.

Cookies, browser storage, and advertising

This site sets no cookies and displays no advertising. It uses Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, to count page views. Umami does not set cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not build a profile of you; it records the page viewed, the referring site, the browser and device type, and the country derived from your IP address, and it does not keep the IP address itself. The only things kept in your browser are the settings described above: the theme you picked, and the details or drafts you chose to save by ticking a box. Nothing is stored on your device for tracking, so there is no consent banner to show. If an advertising network or analytics tool is ever added, this policy will be updated to name it and describe what it collects, and a certified consent notice will be shown before any such cookie is set for visitors in regions that require it.

Third-party services

Your choices

You can clear the theme setting and any optional saved details or drafts by using the Forget or Delete buttons on the tool, unticking the box, or clearing your browser's site data. Nothing is stored on our servers, so there is nothing else to clear.

Your rights

Because the tools store nothing about you on our side, the only personal information we may hold is a contact message you sent us and the server logs the hosting provider keeps. Whatever you are entitled to under the law where you live, we will honor the following for anyone who asks, through the contact page:

Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: the bases we rely on are described under "How we use it." You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. This site is hosted in the United States, so a contact message you send is stored there.

California residents: you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we do not offer financial incentives for it. We respond to requests through the contact page and will not treat you differently for making one. This site is a small operation that we believe falls below the thresholds at which the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, but we honor these rights regardless.

To make a request, use the contact page, choose "General question," and write "privacy request" in the subject. We will confirm your identity by replying to the email address you used and answer within 30 days.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us a message, use the contact page and we will delete it.

This policy was written to describe what the site actually does, in plain language. It has not been reviewed by an attorney.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
