InvoiceBillingTemplate.com ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Ready Utilities. This page explains what information is collected when you use this site and how it is used.
On this page
Information we collect
- Tool inputs: everything you type into the document builder, the billing statement builder, the generators, and the calculators is processed in your browser only. It is not transmitted to us, and it is not stored unless you turn on one of the optional on-device settings described below.
- Theme setting: your light or dark mode choice is kept in your browser's local storage under one key so it carries between pages.
- Optional saved details: if you tick "Save my business details on this device" in the document builder, your business name, address block, tax ID, logo, currency, and accent color are kept in your browser's local storage under a second key. If you tick "Remember my last number on this device" in the invoice number generator, its settings and last number are kept under a third key. If you tick "Keep drafts on this device" in the document builder, the documents you are working on, including client names, addresses, line items, and amounts, are autosaved under a fourth key, up to 20 drafts, until you delete them. All of these are off by default, stay on your device, and never reach our servers. Because drafts contain your customers' details, turn that option on only on your own computer, never on a shared or public one.
- Contact form: if you use the contact page, your name, email, subject, and message are sent to Ready Utilities' form handler at readyutilities.com so we can reply. Do not include sensitive personal information in a message.
- Server logs: the hosting provider records standard web server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type, referring site) for security and maintenance. They are kept for the period the hosting provider sets and are not used to identify or track you.
How we use it, and on what basis
- Running the tools: happens entirely in your browser; we receive nothing.
- Settings and drafts you choose to keep: stored only because you asked, by ticking a box, and only on your device. That is your choice and you can reverse it at any time.
- Replying to a contact message: we use the details you give us to answer you, and keep the message only as long as needed to do that.
- Understanding which pages are used: Umami page-view counts are aggregate and cookieless; knowing which tools get used is a legitimate interest that lets us decide what to improve.
- Keeping the site secure: server logs are used for security and maintenance, which is a legitimate interest of any site operator.
We do not sell personal information, do not share it for advertising, do not build profiles, and do not use automated decision-making. Analytics data stays on our own server and is not sent to any third party.
Cookies, browser storage, and advertising
This site sets no cookies and displays no advertising. It uses Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, to count page views. Umami does not set cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not build a profile of you; it records the page viewed, the referring site, the browser and device type, and the country derived from your IP address, and it does not keep the IP address itself. The only things kept in your browser are the settings described above: the theme you picked, and the details or drafts you chose to save by ticking a box. Nothing is stored on your device for tracking, so there is no consent banner to show. If an advertising network or analytics tool is ever added, this policy will be updated to name it and describe what it collects, and a certified consent notice will be shown before any such cookie is set for visitors in regions that require it.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site from Google's servers. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We are moving the font files onto our own server so that no request goes to Google; until that is done, this transfer happens on every page load. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Umami, self-hosted analytics run by Ready Utilities on its own server, which counts page views without cookies or device storage as described above.
- The Ready Utilities contact form handler, used only when you submit the contact form.
Your choices
You can clear the theme setting and any optional saved details or drafts by using the Forget or Delete buttons on the tool, unticking the box, or clearing your browser's site data. Nothing is stored on our servers, so there is nothing else to clear.
Your rights
Because the tools store nothing about you on our side, the only personal information we may hold is a contact message you sent us and the server logs the hosting provider keeps. Whatever you are entitled to under the law where you live, we will honor the following for anyone who asks, through the contact page:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, and why.
- Correct it, or delete it, unless we have a legal reason to keep it.
- Give you a copy of it in a usable format.
- Stop using it for any purpose you object to.
Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: the bases we rely on are described under "How we use it." You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. This site is hosted in the United States, so a contact message you send is stored there.
California residents: you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we do not offer financial incentives for it. We respond to requests through the contact page and will not treat you differently for making one. This site is a small operation that we believe falls below the thresholds at which the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, but we honor these rights regardless.
To make a request, use the contact page, choose "General question," and write "privacy request" in the subject. We will confirm your identity by replying to the email address you used and answer within 30 days.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us a message, use the contact page and we will delete it.
